Art Opens initiated a new era for the Vancouver Art Gallery: The creation of a new, world-class building for the gallery, but equally as important, a new commitment to artists, community and learning, indigenous reconciliation, and environmental sustainability. Vibrant colour, typography that transcends borders and transforms as it interacts with its surroundings, and an emphasis on action, optimism and openness sets a welcoming tone for the visual and written content.

Art Opens announced The Audain Foundation $100 million donation to the Vancouver Art Gallery—the largest single cash gift to an art gallery in Canadian history.
