Turquoise Hill Resources is an international mining company focused on copper, gold and coal mines in the Asia Pacific region.

The identity system is centred around a new, bold and iconic logo in which surface and sub-surface mining, and the strata that are revealed, are represented by horizontal lines and negative spaces. Stacked lines represent the roads and benches of surface mining, while the negative spaces between them reveal the shafts and levels found in the underground mine. Within, a ‘T’ shape is formed that signifies the value created by Turquoise Hill. The resulting mark is simple and smart, open and fast in character.
