784 Powell Street

Our home is a formerly non-descript warehouse building located a few blocks East from our previous studio on Alexander Street. A humble building in a transitioning neighbourhood, we’ve chosen this site as the new, permanent home for Burnkit. Stripped, designed in collaboration with Battersby Howat and built from the ground up, we’re excited to occupy a space that once again acts as an extension of our philosophy and approach to our work.

Our office from 2006-2014 featured two industrial shipping containers, mobile walls and a modular desk system in a large warehouse space that overlooked the perpetual motion of the Port of Vancouver. In former days, this site was used as a welding shop and a WWII munitions production facility; in our time, the open, modular space housed collaboration, discussion, annual parties, and some of our best work.
