As of June 1st, we have officially moved into our new studio space at 784 Powell Street.
After purchasing the building in 2013, and a design and renovation process, we are now proud to call our new space home. Designed in collaboration with our clients (and friends) at Battersbyhowat Architects, the new digs are located in a former dry goods distribution warehouse on the eastern edge of Railtown. Our home since Burnkit’s inception, we’re proud to establish permanent roots in the neighbourhood.
The natural materials, color palette and volume of space builds on our former space on Alexander Street. Light, bright and airy, we’ve used a muted palette of whites and grays with accents of stain-grade plywood sheets and a sky blue floating staircase. Two large lighting installations by Bocci ground the entrance and meeting areas of the studio. Our HVAC system is highly efficient and extremely sophisticated. Visit us! 784 Powell Street.
