Hailing from the wilds of the North Okanagan, Jill has a varied background through training in Classical Animation at Vancouver Film School and a Bachelors in Design from Emily Carr University. Her approach to design has been informed by a traditional sensibility from classical animation, as well as theoretical and practical programming. Never one to rest on her laurels, Jill was hired on at Burnkit directly after graduation and has been hard at work ever since.
Proud to now call Vancouver home, Jill’s fondness for her Chinatown neighborhood has manifested itself through branding a startup restaurant (Bestie), self-publishing a guidebook entitled Pender Keefer Georgia and developing the type of no-nonsense stride that comes from living in an ‘up-and-coming’ part of town. Though we’ve yet to see evidence, she claims a bit of a hidden talent for karaoke, sans backing track. Time will tell.
