Over the span of nearly 20 years in the business, Dylan has worked with an incredible variety of clients and industries, and has seen first-hand the evolution of the industry through the perpetual push-pull between print and digital, traditional and new media, online and offline. But he’s never lost sight of what’s most important—tell a story well and you will capture attention and create lasting impressions on people. This same focus applies to how he works with clients: He develops real relationships and works hard to understand their passions and their problems, getting to the root of their brand story. Never one to sit still, he works to continually push the studio into new creative territory with each project.
Nearly kicked out of design school for his wild ideas, a common theme in his development as a designer is to break the rules in order to learn them. During his heady early days, he co-founded a culture magazine at a time when mutilating typography was a good thing. Through all of this, he developed a love for experimentation which led him to forming his own studio.
Dylan brings his energy to the team through leadership over the creative aspects of all of our projects, as well as, working closely with clients and leading presentations. He has an obsession (problem, really) with old Porsches and is known to bring home orphaned vintage chairs. He will always go (or stay) for one more drink because that’s where all the best stories come from.
Graphic design and branding are exercises in good story telling—impressing upon an audience that a message is special and true.
